Participation in working life and the workplace is important to us all. Enterprises and activities are based on the expertise and skills of the employees which are essential to the employers. Hence it is of the utmost importance that great emphasis is paid to selecting the right people and to contracts designed for the position in question. The personnel of businesses and enterprises often constitute its most valuable resource. Consequently, personnel issues and labour law are important to both employers and employees. We need to be aware of what is necessary in order for a workplace to function optimally. This applies to all stages, from appointment until termination of employment, and includes all the opportunities and challenges that arise in the course of the employment relationship. Technological development and the “gig economy” challenges traditional employment law, and changes the workers employment status, with increased flexibility as a result.
